Pathway 01
Cultivando Familias — Early Childhood & Family Well-Being
Strengthen families through culturally relevant early learning, parenting support, and community leadership opportunities.
About this program
Supporting Healthy Starts for Children and Families
Cultivando Familias is our Promotora-led pathway dedicated to early childhood development and family well-being. This program equips local Promotoras with the knowledge and tools to partner with caregivers, providing culturally responsive education on healthy child development, nurturing home environments, and meaningful family engagement.
Training topics include early learning strategies, positive parenting approaches, and practical ways to build protective factors that help children and families thrive. Many participants begin as caregivers seeking support for their own families and grow into confident peer leaders who uplift entire communities.
Building on trust and lived experience, Cultivando Familias creates pathways to long-term family success and stronger neighborhoods.
Rooted in Community Strengths
Our Program Focus
Cultivando Familias focuses on the strengths that already exist in families. We recognize that every caregiver brings wisdom, resilience, and cultural knowledge that support children’s healthy development.
Through the Promotora Model, we build on these strengths to deliver accessible, respectful, and effective early childhood education and family support. Our work promotes health equity by ensuring families have the information, resources, and confidence needed to create nurturing environments where children can learn, grow, and succeed — today and for years to come.
“We envision communities where every child has a strong, healthy start, and where every family feels supported, informed, and empowered to thrive.”
